This book was originally authored and published when Satyanarayana Dasa Babaji was a member of ISKCON (International Society of Kṛṣṇa Consciousness) as a Centennial offering for Śrīla Prabhupāda, the Founder-Ācārya of ISKCON.
It is a small and easy-to-ready book in glorification of Śrīmad Bhāgavata based on the translation of six chapters of the Padma Purāṇa, Uttara-khaṇḍa. It narrates the allegorical story of Bhakti personified, who becomes afflicted by the age of Kali and then rejuvenated by sage Nārada Muni. It also contains other stories that illustrate the auspiciousness of hearing the Bhāgavata in the age of Kali.
This new edition contains modifications where clarity was needed, along with style and formatting changes that fit the current Jīva Style Guide. Unlike its original counterpart, the revised version comes in hard cover, which adds well to its look and feel and hopefully makes it more enjoyable to the readers.
Our life is running on these two currents of raga and dvesha. It is the same river, but sometimes we are on the love side of the river bank and sometimes we are on the hate side. But the river is only one. There is only one reality. It is our mind that makes a duality of the reality. As soon as something enters our mind, we automatically divide it into either like or dislike. When your mind is running in these two grooves, then you cannot see the reality.
